Robert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University in 1978. Much of his career was spent in Georgia working with local, regional and National CPA firms. Robert joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford PLLC in 2010 and was admitted to the partnership in 2013.

With over 30 years experience, much of Robert's career has been concentrated working with closely held companies and many family owned enterprises. Much of this work has been centered on all financial aspects of the business. Robert has extensive experience in tax, audit and Management advisory services, and has spent significant time in consulting with owners and management of closely held companies. A significant area of his time has been spent working in the real estate amd medical related fields. In recent years, Cordle has devoted time to Governmental entities and the federal and state compliance requirements of each.

Robert is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Mississippi Society of CPA's. He holds licenses as a CPA in both Mississippi and Georgia. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Robert is an active member and deacon of Pinelake Church. He is married to Mitzi Shaffer Cordle, originally from Indianola , Ms, and they have 3 grown children, Robert III (Bo), Anna Catherine and Caroline. Robert and Mitzi reside in Brandon, Ms.
